This week, we’re diving into sports, and I’m loving it, specifically baseball. It’s baseball season, spring is in the air, and it’s exciting. We’re on day two of our series about baseball and the inventions related to it. Yesterday, we talked about a baseball swing apparatus, a brand new invention patented just this year in February 2018. It’s exciting to see innovations in a sport that’s been around for about 200 years.
Today, my main focus is on drawings, and I want you to take a look at figures one through five. We’ll try to show those on the screen for you, and I encourage you to look up this patent on Google Patents so you can read through it with me and follow up with additional questions and comments below.
These drawings are required under the laws of 35 USC 113, as long as they show how the invention functions. Figures one through five demonstrate the orientation of the baseball player swinging the bat in a practice motion. It’s important to note that, regardless of the figure, numeral one consistently points to the baseball. This ensures clarity and consistency across different views.
