Patent Attorney and Founder

Finding a reliable patent attorney can feel overwhelming. But it doesn’t have to be. After helping inventors for over 10 years, I’ve learned what really matters when choosing the right attorney.

Here’s what to look for:

1. Make sure they’re a good fit
It’s not just about liking your attorney. You’ll work with their team too. Prefer face-to-face meetings? Choose a firm with an office nearby. Comfortable with virtual calls? A remote firm could be a great fit.

2. Ask about fees
Patent work can get expensive fast. Some attorneys charge hourly. Others offer flat fees. Know what you’re signing up for. Ask if they give clear pricing upfront or if you’ll get a bill at the end.

3. Check their reputation
Don’t just take their word for it. Read reviews. Talk to past clients. A good attorney will have a track record of helping inventors like you.

4. Hold them accountable
Stay involved. If they miss deadlines or fail to deliver, speak up. Your invention is valuable, and your money matters.

Finding the right patent attorney is about trust, clear communication, and results. Make sure you’re getting what you pay for. Best of luck with your invention—go big go bold!
