That’s why we were proud to sponsor the recent #DeepInventForGood Inventathon, a global competition hosted by DeepInvent.ai that challenges innovators to tackle pressing problems with groundbreaking solutions.
This year’s event attracted brilliant minds from around the world, and we were thrilled to support these inventors by awarding patent application services to the top three winners. Our Owner and Founder, J.D. Houvener, also served as a judge for the final round, reviewing inventive solutions that have the potential to make a real impact. Together with our Managing Attorney, Houda El-Jarrah, we’re proud to champion inventors at every stage of their innovation journey.
Meet the Winners
🥇 First Place – Nonprovisional Patent Application Award
Laura Brown took home the top prize with her invention: “Integrated Roadway Animal Presence and Deterrence System with V2X Communication for Autonomous Vehicles and Smart Traffic Management.” This forward-thinking solution integrates safety, wildlife protection, and next-generation traffic systems. As part of her prize, Bold Patents is providing a full nonprovisional patent application, ensuring her groundbreaking idea can be properly protected and advanced toward commercialization.
🥈 Second Place – Provisional Patent Application Award
Alessandro De Angelis earned second place for his remarkable work: “Real-Time Quantum-Inspired Emotional State Encoding and Adaptive Sound Synthesis System.” This invention merges quantum-inspired computing with human-centered audio experiences. We are proud to support Alessandro with a provisional patent application, giving him a strong foundation to secure intellectual property rights as his technology develops.
🥉 Third Place – Provisional Patent Application Award
Brian Cliette secured third place with his inventive solution: “Hybrid Dual-Functional Magnetic-Electro Filter Cartridge with Smart Sensing, Adaptive Regeneration, and Integrated High-Efficiency PFAS/Microplastic Waste Management.” This system takes aim at one of the world’s toughest challenges, environmental pollution, through innovative filtration technology. Bold Patents is honored to prepare and file a provisional patent application for Brian, helping launch his innovation journey.
Partnering with DeepInvent: AI + Patent Law
This competition highlights an exciting new frontier in intellectual property: AI-assisted invention and drafting. DeepInvent.ai provides inventors with AI-powered tools to prepare high-quality patent documents that patent attorneys can readily use for filing with the USPTO.
