Hey, we’re in part four of our series on fireworks, looking into the innovation of how they’ve been created over time. We’ve explored the differences in how different colors are made, delved into modern-day fireworks, and how they’re constructed. Hopefully, that was insightful for you. We took a little break from looking at the law this week and we’re digging in now today with some even goofier stuff. So, hang in there with me.

As I did my research for fireworks and prepared the script for this, I stumbled upon this video that has floored me. I mean, you’re gonna love it. I’m not sure we can show the video here in this clip, but I’m going to provide that link for you to look at. It’s from a guy out there named Colin Furze, and he’s out of London, England. He’s sort of called this mad scientist inventor type. He would definitely fit into the category of a pyro. Seems to be relatively amateur, but he might have his senses about him and have a pyrotechnics license, but this video sure seems wild. And we have some images of this.

What he has created just a few years ago is a very unique adaptation of combining a tornado, a man-made tornado, and a fire explosion combined with fireworks on top. Yeah, so I said all of that, put all that together, and that’s exactly what this man has put together in his latest invention. So, we need to think creatively and think out-of-the-box, and I encourage you to do the same thing with your products. I mean, don’t hold back. Obviously, don’t get hurt and stay safe at the same time. But you can certainly do things like this to explore and to experiment, as long as they’re done in a proper way.

I think there actually are some very interesting insights from this. It was beautiful to see this rotating cylinder. As you watch this video, you’ll see that the fire itself actually turns into a tornado. It’s really curious, and there’s got to be some interesting properties to how that flame extends vertically with the different gas, with the different propellant they put on there. The fact that he decided to light fireworks at the top of it, that seems fairly amateur to me, nothing necessarily novel. But the whole thing taken together, it’s entertaining, and guess what? Entertainment is utility, that third element of what it means to have a patentable invention. So, this man’s done it, you can do it too. Have some fun and watch this video with me and enjoy innovation and fun at its best.

I’m your host, J.D. Houvener of the Bold Today Show. It’s been my pleasure talking with you here today. Hope you’ll have a wonderful day. Go big, go bold!
