Um, but really, the stories about him. He used to cut my hair, and I used to hate his haircuts. Uh, he’d just give me buzz cuts, and, uh, I got sick of it by the time I was 13. So I was like, uh, I’m not gonna let you cut my hair. Let me try and cut my own hair. And as a 13-year-old cutting your own hair is not going to be highly successful. I ended up with, like, pushing back my hairlines and ending up with cheetah spots on my head. Actually, I still wear hats because I still have a complex about how I used to mess up my hair.

But what I realized, the hardest part about cutting the hair, was to get those precision lines and detailing down. And I kept pushing back my hairline. So, I created a template stencil tool to put against my head to cut my hair. And, uh, my hairlines and edge-ups ended up being near barber quality. And I used this tool for like 15 years. And that tool ended up being what the company’s built on, the Cut Buddy shaping tool.

Now, um, but I sat on this invention for 15 years, didn’t really know that I had anything until my wife pushed me to, uh, kind of show up for my life. I was content with my job and stuff, but she knew that I could do bigger and better things. So.
