Hi, my name is J.D. Houvener, and I’m the Managing Partner here at Bold IP Law Firm. I’m excited to be with you here today to introduce one of our newest blog articles about Nintendo and some of the recent trademark filings that they have undertaken. Without taking too long, I want to introduce the law firm. Bold IP is an intellectual property boutique. We do patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secret law. We work with inventors and creators like you to help you think about not just the legal filings but the business planning all along the way to ensure that you monetize and have a good business plan for hitting the market.
Right now, on our website, boldip.com, we’re giving away for free the key insights that we’ve gathered over the years and all those questions that you might have as the inventor in our book, “Bold Ideas: The Inventor’s Guide to Patents.” It’s still available for free. It’s your guide or maybe your friend’s guide to all the essential questions and answers that you might need before you go sit down with the patent attorney.
Alright, let’s take a look at the blog. This article is all about Nintendo’s trademark filings, and as Dan Trump, one of our research specialists here at the firm, identifies, fans are buzzing about this modern retro idea, putting a modern spin on these consoles, which are video games and handheld games that are able to be plugged into modern devices like screens and HD monitors. But they look and have the same feel as the original console when it was first released. Dan, as an enthusiast in gaming, loved this article, and you can tell by his writing. He’s right on point with each one of these features.
So, Dan goes into detail about the classic Nintendo Entertainment System released back in 1985, and he talks about the recent filings that Nintendo has done on the classic Super Nintendo controller and more recently on the Gameboy. Nintendo has some plans to roll out these types of devices and sell them, and they tend to release a month or two prior to Christmas because the end of the holiday season is a big time for retail sales. So, we do anticipate it to be released shortly.
Have a look at this on our Bold Blog. I look forward to hearing your comments on social media. Hope you all have a wonderful day. Go big, go bold.
