We’re talking about all the steps that you need to take in order to file your patent application, and you, yes you, the inventor, can actually do this yourself. Once you see the process here, you may decide to get our help in doing so. We’re there to help you along the way if you need it. This is step eight, okay? We’ve talked about this whole way about how to describe your own invention, and just yesterday we talked about talking about first what the disadvantages are of the prior art, right? How does current technology fall short? What are the problems they have? Why don’t they meet the customers’ expectations? And how are they really, in other words, have a deficit and provide a negative sort of result in the world, right? And so that’s what the last step was all about. This step is about focusing on yes, differences, but we want to position your invention as one that’s superior and has a beneficial aspect to it, right above and beyond what the current technology, the prior art, is trying to solve. And so this is a fun section that could have embellished a little bit and talking about how in which ways your invention provides that end solution that the customers are looking for, the economy is driven by, right? What are people going to the stores, going online to purchase your invention? What’s going to drive them? What’s the emotional energy behind that?

So in this section, I want you to focus on that end result. Don’t worry about the how; that’s for the next section, actually. This is the focus on what the end result of the functionality is and how the customer is going to be able to enjoy it more, have more peace of mind, more security. They’re gonna feel like things are more taken care of. And you know what is that sort of emotional underlying reason why your invention is the solution to their current problem. So have fun with this one. This is going to be, I think, a breeze. You’ve already made it this far, and so if you have any questions, I can say to you, welcome to reach out to us. Visit our website at boldpatents.com. We can book a free consultation with one of our advisors to see if we can get you some help you might need. I’m J.D. Houvener. I’m your host of the Bold Today’s Show. Go big, go bold.
